Nexgen Conferences is pleased to announce that we are organising Inaugural, Virtual Event Mobile Edge Computing 2022, scheduled to be held on 17th March 2022, We invite all Edge Computing stakeholders to come forward to participate at this event to explore business opportunities.
Mobile Edge Computing or Multi-access Edge Computing (MEC) originally defined as Mobile Edge Computing, MEC emerged from the (ETSI) in 2016 is evolving with integrated cloud services and resources that are closer to the user proximity that can leverage over the available resources in the edge networks.
The MEC platform aims to enable the billions of connected mobile devices to execute the real-time compute-intensive applications directly at the network edge. It allows software applications to tap into local content, thereby accessing real-time information about local-access network conditions. By deploying various services and caching content at the network edge, mobile core networks are alleviated of further congestion and can efficiently serve social purposes.
Telecom operators often treat edge as synonymous with mobile edge computing or multi-access edge computing – compute based on the edge of the network. However, Telco’s edge compute includes workloads running on customer premise equipment and other points of presence at the customer site. Telco edge is best thought of as distributed compute, managed by the operator, which may extend beyond the network edge and onto the customer edge.
Furthermore, with the current 4G networks reaching their maximum limit, 5G is going to have to have to manage online traffic far more intelligently, in which mobile edge computing will play a significant role. With the management of the data load, MEC is expected to play a substantial part in reducing latency for 5G networks.
Mobile Edge Computing 2022 will highlights very important topics which needs to address by the industry leaders.
“Security challenges in mobile edge computing”
“Mobile Edge Computing for 5G network infrastructures”
“Compute and process distribution models in mobile edge networks”
